The same arrangement was in place for this game as the previous with two 20 minute halves and the outcome was similar with the tourists finishing victorious by 19-0. The Tide side looked physical but early nerves were settled with a Ricky Gill try which was not converted. Down continued to play territorial rugby but weren't helped when Ryan Smyth was yellow carded. However the Mount Crescent boys still dominated up front and should have gone further ahead but a TJ McCavera try was disallowed for a forward pass but soon after Peter Calvert found himself in the unlikely position of wing to score a try which Gill converted. This left the score 12-0 at halftime.
Whatever the Tide coach said to his players at half time seemed to work as they came out like a team possessed. A fantastic Ryan Smyth tackle preventing what looked like a certain try. Down managed to make the game safe when make shift flanker Chris Gibson intercepted a pass and sped in under the posts for a try which Gill converted. The last five minutes were played in the middle third of the pitch and the tourists ended up 19-0 victors, rounding off a fine evening's rugby.
